Schedule Change
 (May
5, 2008) -- Due to a scheduling conflict with Huntsville's
Heads-up event last Saturday we rescheduling the event for
this Saturday, the 10th of May. The new
Contingency Connection Program will add to the winners
purse. Bama will also add Heads-up 6.0 and 7.0 to the
Pro Mod Show on the 24th of May. |

Bama Dragway Safety Rules
- 6.0-7.0 cars: Required: Approved helmet, cage/bar,
jacket and harness.
- Bikes: Required: Approved helmet, jackets, gloves.
- 6 Second Bikes: Required: Full leathers.

 BAMA
Dragway IHRA Sanctioned
(Jan. 10, 2008) -- Bama Dragway announced today it will be
sanctioned by IHRA in 2008, IHRA will bring the ET
Summit Series as well as Street Warz and the
IHRA Thunder Jam. The JAM and Street Warz are scheduled
for March and April.

Welcome to Bama Dragway
Our objective at BAMA is to provide you with a clean, safe,
fun and an exciting place to race. Bernie and Anne Longjohn
track operators have over 30 years experience in Drag Racing.
We look forward to programs geared to fun racing as well the
serious drag racer and additional programs for kids, young adults
and our spectators. Our plan is to bring some new
sponsorships, a new Bama look and new racing ideas to BAMA
Dragway and Alabama. |
Bama Dragway New Owners
(Sept. 19, 2007) -- George Howard announced today from his office in
Birmingham, Alabama that effective October 1, 2007, Bama Dragway, which
has been owned by Howard since 1998, has been sold to Bernie and Anne Longjohn of
Los Angeles. Longjohn, owner-operator of LACR Dragway in California for the
past 27 years, recently closed the historic NHRA facility. We are very
excited to have someone of this caliber and experience to get the dragway.
Bernie and Anne are very excited and motivated. They promise to bring some
fresh and excited new ideas to the strip. We wish them all great things and
success.
